NEW: Hypnotist to appear at Red Bud SWIC campus
The free show begins at 7 p.m. April 4 in the campus' Performing Arts Room. Seating is limited, so people are encouraged to arrive early. By day, Tony Zeigler teaches Public Speaking and Mass Communication at SWIC and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and serves as a certified clinical hypnotist. By night, "Tony Z," as he's known in the entertainment industry, is a hypnotist on stage, entertaining audiences both young and old.A certified clinical hypnotist for more than 10 years, Zeigler started performing stand-up comedy in area clubs. He's opened for Bobcat Goldthwait and Gabe Kaplan to name two. He has taken his act on the road, performing at colleges, corporate events, clubs and special events nationwide. His high-energy show is a mix of music, costume changes, props and lots of laughs, he notes. Volunteers will be sought from the audience to participate in a series of hilarious routines, turning them into highly entertaining stage performers who dance, sing and participate in funny scenarios. The event is part of the campus' Family Fun Fest Nights scheduled throughout April in honor of Community College Month. For more information call the campus at 282-6682 ext. 8114. |
