Note about storm warning system At this time Valmeyer uses a manually operated siren in the center of the uphill town area. At night when Monroe County is included in severe weather/tornado warnings the siren will be activated. During daylight hours trained spotters will be used to watch for storms during severe weather periods. Note-at this time, the all clear signal will not be given after a storm warning. Research is underway at this point regarding the updating of the village storm warning system.
